About me

I moved to Durango in January of 2005 without knowing how great this town was.  I came to realize very quickly how incredible this community really is.  Over the past 18 years, I have built a family and established a great career in hospitality.  We all have our own origin stories to Durango, but the common thread through them all are community and the people that make this place home for all of us.   We value the quality of life we lead, the enriching opportunities Durango provides, and the vibrant history of our corner of the state.

Through the years, I have grown into a business leader, restaurant advocate, and community organizer, but my proudest accomplishment is being a father and husband.  It is an absolute privilege to raise a family here and build our familial roots in this community.  My family drives me to continue making Durango a great place to live, but there is more work to be done.  Operating a business with over 50 employees has helped me understand the challenges our current workforce face and the coming headwinds we, as a community, will continue to face.  Continuing on some of the successes the current City Council regarding housing and infrastructure, I hope to build on those successes and seeing those projects bear fruit.  

I've assumed many leadership roles in my time here and hope to continue representing you through thoughtful leadership.  Working with many stakeholders across multiple organizations, I have learned that we all want a better Durango and all roads lead to there.  My roles have allowed me to work with members with diverse backgrounds and opinions.  I will work hard to try and understand all aspects of issues and policies for a better, brighter Durango.
